Job summary

SMRT TEL PTE. LTD is seeking an Assistant Engineer to lead a team of Technical Officers in PM, CM, OH, and ES activities across SMRT Thomson-East Coast Line trains and depot equipment.

You will oversee maintenance planning, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and work instructions while driving reliability and passenger safety. The role requires a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology/Engineering with preferably 5 years of relevant railway experience, and involves

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Technology/Engineering.
• Preferably 5 years of relevant experience in railway environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Technical Officers to perform PM/CM/OH/ES on trains, depot and workshop equipment.
• Plan and coordinate staff deployment and shift rosters to optimise resources.
• Verify work against Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Ensure spares and tools are maintained and calibration is up to date.
• Support incident response, housekeeping, and KAIZEN activities to improve productivity.
