Job summary

Allied Telesis International (Asia) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement cost-efficient test methods for networking products in a manufacturing environment.

You will select test equipment, generate test scripts, and write/update procedures while interfacing with hardware and software teams during NPI. You will also support factories on failure units, research new test methods, and train junior engineers, ensuring robust test coverage and timely

Qualifications

• Min. Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with copper and fiber high-speed data communication products and protocols (Switch, Media Converter).
• Min. 2 years detailed knowledge of the Manufacturing Test Processes and Test Equipment requirements in networking product industry.
• Must be professional and courteous with strong written, oral, and organizational skills.
• Able to interact across functions and take ownership of responsibilities.

Job description

Job Scope:

Designs, develops, and implements cost effective test methods, which include test equipment selection and test script generation, for Networking products in a manufacturing test environment. Write and update test procedures and test scripts for new and existing products.Interface with Hardware and Software development groups in the early stages of New Product Introduction (NPI).Interface with factories Product Engineer on manufacturing test related issues. Provide trouble shooting assistant to factories on failure units. Test equipment and test methodology research for future products. Train new manufacturing test engineer and product engineer members.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and implementing hardware test strategy for Networking products to assure adequate manufacturing test coverage is provided. Will be responsible for the manufacturing test process, test equipment requirements, failure analysis and Production support.
• Will be working with Hardware and Software Development Engineering groups throughout the design phase and will be responsible for the hardware DFT Methodology and support.
• Responsible for documenting all manufacturing test related procedures and pass the knowledge to other manufacturing test engineer members.
