Job summary

INDEX CAREER CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Test Engineer to support the manufacturing of high-end life sciences instruments in mass production.

You will work under the Engineering Manager to ensure test processes meet quality and reliability standards across the production line. The role requires hands-on experience with lab instruments, test equipment, and development of tester software during NPI stages for new products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Test Engineer in manufacturing of electro-mechanical products.

Responsibilities

• Provide test engineering support to sustain mass production of electro-mechanical life sciences instruments.
• Support tester development during NPI stage for new products/instruments.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of Engineering Manager, Test Engineer is responsible for providing Test engineering supports to sustain manufacturing of high-end life sciences instruments in mass production and as well provide Test/Tester Development Support during NPI Stage for New Products / Instruments

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience as Test Engineer in manufacturing of electro-mechanical products, preferably in manufacturing of Life Science Instruments.

JOB-RELATED SKILLS & PRE-REQUISITES

• Familiar with SW tools such as LabVIEW, Protel/Altium Designer and Microsoft
• Visual C# programming, TCL & Python
• EE component and circuitry knowledge, EE test and measurement know-how in using various test equipment for troubleshooting EE issues (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer & etc
• Knowledge of mechanical measurements such as motion accuracy, force,temperature, vibrations, and pneumatics.
• Able to front customer and supplier on Test/Tester HW /SW related (technical)
• Possess Strong analytical skill, able to systematically troubleshoot complex life sciences instruments to resolve issues related to multiple engineering field
• Verification and Validation Skill of Production Testers (SW/HW)
• Possess Tester/Measuring Instruments know-how, able to apply
• DFM/DFA/PFMEA study
• Possess logical thinking with systematic approach in problem solving
