Job summary

EPAM Singapore is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to build reliable automated test coverage for web applications built on Java microservices and React. You will design scalable UI automation using Selenium with Java or Playwright with Type or Java, expand API testing, and integrate suites into CI/CD while reducing flaky tests.

You’ll collaborate in Agile ceremonies with engineering and product teams and help evolve a robust automation framework, ensuring high-quality software delivery

Qualifications

• Hands-on UI test automation experience with Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Strong Java programming skills and object-oriented practices.
• Experience building or extending test automation frameworks and scalable suites.
• Familiarity with API automation using tools like REST Assured or Karate.
• Experience with test runners (JUnit, TestNG) and CI/CD tooling (Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins).
• Understanding of microservices testing and defect isolation.

Responsibilities

• Review user stories to define manual and automated test coverage.
• Build and maintain UI automation using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Evolve a scalable automation framework with maintainable patterns.
• Develop API automation using REST Assured or Karate.
• Integrate automated suites into Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze failures, reduce flakiness, and improve execution speed.
• Manage defects and validation workflows in Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies with engineering and product teams.
