Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Singapore seeks a Senior Telecoms Engineer to own the end-to-end delivery of the telecoms engineering package and collaborate with the Telecoms Lead Engineer to drive successful offshore projects.

The role requires developing system specifications, BOMs, block diagrams, and technical documentation while reviewing studies and coordinating with clients and vendors to meet quality and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering(Telecommunications).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably on offshore projects.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Engineering Package.
• Support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all telecom-related engineering activities.
• Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and Bill of Materials.
• Prepare Telecoms system block diagrams, sketches, and related technical documentation.
• Review and validate telecoms system studies including PAGA coverage, radio coverage, VSAT link calculations, and fibre optic link budgets.
• Prepare technical requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations for telecoms systems.
• Perform telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and weight calculations.
• Liaise with clients to address engineering comments and propose technical solutions.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage system interfaces and integration.
• Ensure all telecom engineering deliverables comply with technical, quality, and schedule requirements.
