Job summary

Kellogg Brown & Root Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Telecoms Detailed Engineer to lead the delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Package on offshore oil and gas projects.

You will support the Telecoms Lead Engineer, develop system specifications, review studies, and coordinate with clients and contractors to ensure interfaces meet standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications).
• 15+ years in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in Oil & Gas, offshore preferred.
• Knowledge of international telecoms regulations, codes and standards.
• Knowledge of telecoms studies and calculations.
• Proficient in writing telecoms specifications.
• Team player capable of interacting with disciplines, clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the TSI/Telecoms Package on assigned offshore projects.
• Support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all telecoms activities.
• Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and BOM.
• Prepare telecoms system block diagram sketches.
• Review telecoms studies such as PAGA and radio coverage studies.
• Prepare requisitions and perform technical bid evaluation of telecoms systems.
• Estimate telecoms power, heat dissipation and weight.
• Liaise with clients to resolve comments and provide solutions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and contractors on interfaces.

• Responsible for the delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Package.


• Support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all other Telecoms activities.


• Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and Bill of Materials.


• Prepare Telecoms systems block diagram sketches.


• Review telecoms systems studies such as PAGA coverage study, radio coverage study, VSAT link calculation, fiber optic link budget, etc.


• Prepare requisition and perform technical bid evaluation of Telecoms Systems.


• Perform telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and weight estimation.


• Liaise with clients to resolve engineering comments and provide solutions.


• Coordinate with other disciplines and contractors on systems interfaces.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications).


• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably on offshore projects.


• Knowledge of international regulations, codes, and standards affecting Telecoms Systems.


• Knowledge of Telecoms studies and calculations.


• Proficient in writing Telecoms specifications.


• Team player who can interact effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, clients, and suppliers.
