Job summary

The GMP Group is seeking a Senior Technician to support engineering and maintenance activities in a manufacturing setting in Singapore. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and drive efficiency improvements on critical machinery.

Responsibilities include PM programme development, tooling and spare-parts planning, and maintaining SOPs and risk assessments. A Diploma in Engineering and 4+ years’ relevant experience are preferred, with IL6S/Kaizen exposure a bonus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in engineering maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with IL6S Progressive Maintenance is a plus.
• Lean, Kaizen or continuous improvement exposure is advantageous.
• Able to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose machine faults and perform repairs.
• Support machine efficiency improvement and maintenance targets.
• Develop and maintain PM programmes and documentation.
• Monitor spare-parts data to support maintenance planning.
• Maintain breakdown records and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare SOPs and Risk Assessments.
• Follow up on daily maintenance activities and projects.
• Respond to urgent breakdowns and maintenance emergencies.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
