Job summary

Hafnia Pools Pte Ltd invites applications for a Chief Engineer/Senior Second Engineer to lead technical operations at sea, ensuring safety, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance across the fleet.

The role requires extensive sailing experience, a preference for a Chief Engineer's License, and strong English communication. Travel to vessels is expected as part of this senior leadership position.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of sailing experience.
At least 2 years' experience at sea as a Chief Engineer or a Senior Second Engineer.
Chief Engineer's License preferred.
Able to travel and visit vessels when required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate commitment to the company Vision, Purpose and Values and Zero Harm onboard ships and ashore.
Ensure ships follow energy management initiatives and address deviations with priority.
Monitor and report day-to-day technical operation and performance of vessel with onboard management to meet safety, quality, energy efficiency and environmental standards.
Monitor compliance with statutory, class, future regulations, and third-party requirements.
Conduct bi-annual vessel inspections and follow up on report deficiencies and observations.
Manage vessel maintenance records and stock levels, verify accuracy during ship visits.
Arrange spares, repairs, modifications and services to comply with statutory requirements and company standards.
Identify improvements and recommendations for efficient operation across fleets.
