Job summary

PERTAMINA INTERNATIONAL MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION PTE. LTD. seeks a Technical Superintendent for tanker fleets in Singapore. You will oversee technical management, maintenance, reliability and seaworthiness, ensuring vessels stay class compliant and operationally ready.

You will collaborate with Master, Chief Engineer, Class, Flag State, yards and contractors, driving maintenance programs, surveys and dry-docking plans to safeguard safe operations and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

Minimum 5–8 years' experience in tanker ship management.
Previous experience as Technical Superintendent strongly preferred.
Knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and MPA requirements.
Experience with dry-docking, Class surveys and major repairs.
Budgeting and contractor-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for technical management of assigned tanker vessels and ensure safe operation.
Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, SOLAS, MARPOL, MPA Singapore and statutory requirements.
Monitor PMS and ensure maintenance of critical machinery and equipment.
Review maintenance of main/auxiliary engines, boilers, pumps and cargo systems.
Coordinate budgets for OPEX, spare parts, repairs and dry-docking.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability for safety-critical equipment.
Investigate failures and implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Coordinate with Class, Flag State, shipyards and service contractors.
