Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES seeks a Technology Business Development Officer to translate intellectual property and research capabilities into commercially viable solutions, with a focus on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

You will develop BD strategies, identify industry partners for collaborations, licensing and technology transfer, and build a robust pipeline of opportunities while coordinating with the Innovation & Enterprise Division.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in business development or related role.
• Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
• Experience negotiating licensing and collaboration agreements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute BD and commercialization strategies for BTI technologies.
• Identify and engage pharma/biotech companies for collaborations and licensing.
• Collaborate with partners to adopt technology portfolios through licensing and tech-transfer.
• Leverage ecosystem to grow R&D and industry landscape in Singapore.
• Assess commercial potential, IP position, and market applicability of technologies.
• Build and manage a pipeline of industry collaborations and licensing opportunities.
• Guide junior team members in account management, deal structuring, and negotiations.
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiate research collaborations and licensing agreements.
