Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Singapore is seeking a System Senior Staff Engineer to define system architecture and feasibility for floor care products, guiding concepts from prototype through production.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams in Electrical, Software and Mechanical engineering, with deep experience in embedded controllers, motor control, battery management and wireless connectivity to deliver robust, scalable designs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in floor care product development and system architecture.
• Knowledge of embedded microcontroller architectures, HW/FW partitioning analysis techniques and Requirement definition and testing.
• Hands-on experience in electrical system design and integration for floor care products, particularly in BLDC motor control, battery charging and BMS, sensor integration, user interfaces, thermal protection, and wireless connectivity technologies.
• Ability to integrate motor and airflow tuning, Motor-Airflow Optimization, and Dust separation optimization

Responsibilities

• Project technical leadership, managing System Integration across cross-functional teams.
• Main technical interface for customer and suppliers of critical parts.
• Organizes periodic technical team meetings and resolves system problems.
• Ensures system documentation and related deliverables (requirements and design) are up to schedule.
• Review System RA, dFMEA, pFMEA and ensure proper link and implementation.
• Review test strategy for System Integration (Fault Injection) and validation across SW/EE/ME/QE.
• Support defect tracking updates and inter-department Dependency tracking.
