Maintenance Engineer – Front-End Equipment & Troubleshooting

Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore is seeking a maintenance professional to support shift-based front-end equipment in a 24/7 cleanroom. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems, coordinate the shift team, and assist in preventive maintenance.

You will mentor technicians, work with vendors to resolve escalated issues, and analyze downtime and MTBF data to drive improvements in tool performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with front-end process equipment and control systems is an advantage.
• Experience in shift-based support, team coordination or leadership roles is desirable.
• Good analytical, documentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the shift maintenance team for front-end module equipment.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, electronics and control systems.
• Assist in planning and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to technicians.
• Collaborate with vendors and engineers to resolve issues and improve tool performance.
• Analyze maintenance data and prepare shift reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and throughput.
• Ensure adherence to cleanroom protocols, EHS, and safety procedures.
