Job summary

Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore is seeking a Software System Engineer for the ePayment Innovation Centre (ePIC) team to develop applications for AFC systems. You will design, develop, test, deploy and support secure applications, including those hosted on GCC.

You will collaborate with developers, users and testers across the software development lifecycle, producing architecture and design documents and contributing to continuous improvement of development, testing and deployment

Qualifications

• Experience in at least one full SDLC with documentation.
• Hands-on Java and Spring Boot development.
• Experience with SQL and JDBC/Hibernate.
• Familiarity with cloud computing, Docker, Kubernetes and microservices.
• Experience with Gitlab, CI/CD and automated build/deploy.
• Experience with message queues or asynchronous messaging.
• Ability to communicate technical information in English.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse requirements, design, develop, test and maintain software applications.
• Prepare and maintain software lifecycle artefacts (architecture, design docs, interfaces, tests).
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, improve quality and performance.
• Participate in build, deployment and production support activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve design/testing issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development, testing and deployment practices.
