FLEXTRONICS MANUFACTURING (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. in Changi, Singapore, seeks a Senior System Staff Engineer to lead system architecture and feasibility from prototypes to full production for coffee machines.

The role emphasizes embedded architectures, HW/SW integration, and cross-functional leadership, with responsibilities including interface management with customers and suppliers, documentation, and test strategy review to ensure robust system performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Software or Mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 15 years in coffee machine design.
• Knowledge of Embedded microcontroller architectures.
• Experience with electrical circuit design for coffee machines is a plus.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Senior System Staff Engineer located in Changi, Singapore.

The System Engineer, working with other design team members, will be responsible for system architecture definition and feasibility assessment, in order to meet customer’s requirements, from the development of conceptual prototypes and architecture, through development into full-scale production.

What a typical day looks like:

• Project technical leadership, responsible for managing System Integration involving cross-functional teams
• Main technical interface for customer and suppliers of critical parts
• Helps supervisors to ensure that department PDPs are correctly implemented
• Organizes periodic technical team meetings, working for the resolution of System problems
• Ensures that system documentation is prepared according to the project schedule, being owner of the related deliverables (system requirementsand system design)
• Highlights schedule issues, allocation and resources problems to DPM
• Review System RA, dFMEA, pFMEA and takes care of verifying appropriate link and implementation
• Review test strategy especially covering System Integration (FaultInjection) and ensure the correct split between SW/EE/ME/QE tests
• Supports DPM in updating the action tracker list file for items related to inter-department dependencies
• Support the updating of the defect tracking system (with thesupport of the DPM) to evaluate and assign bug resolution
• Participates in subsystem documentation review (up to requirementand architecture) as independent reviewer

The experience we’re looking to addto our team:

• Industry andTechnical Expertise
  • o Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Mechanical engineering and a minimum of 15 years in coffee machine design with good overall exposure to all three of them (EE/SW/ME),ME background will be preferred.
  • o Have Knowledge of Embedded microcontroller architectures, HW/Partitioning analysis techniques and Requirement definition and testing.
  • o Have experience of electrical circuit design for coffee machine will be be extra advantage,
  • o Rich experience in coffee machine heater,+motor+pump control synchronization, AC/DC power conversion, sensor integration and wireless connectivity.
  • o Ability to integrate NVH tuning (pump, grinder)
  • o Familiar with water System Design, Pump, tubing, sealing, leakage prevention.
  • o Rich experience in Tolerance Stack-up, make design Fit, sealing,and assembly robustness.
  • o Solid knowledge in improving Brew system performance, temperature stability, extraction time accuracy etc.

  • o Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • o Ability to clearly present technical concepts and influence decisions across customers, leadership teams, and engineering organizations.
