ResMed is seeking a Senior Supply Planner to lead end-to-end supply planning across purchasing, manufacturing, and distribution. You will mentor junior planners, optimize inventory, and drive continuous improvement using o9 and SAP.
You will partner with stakeholders to balance service, cost, and inventory while translating strategic signals into actionable operational plans, ensuring timely execution and data-driven decisions.
As a Senior Supply Planner, you are a subject matter expert (SME) in product supply planning and a mentor to others in the team. You own the planning process across purchasing, manufacturing, and distribution for your assigned product portfolio and are accountable for delivering reliable, efficient, and cost-conscious supply plans that meet business needs.
You will play a pivotal role in translating strategic signals into operational readiness, proactively balancing service, cost, and inventory, while guiding junior planners in best-in-class practices.

Lead the development and execution of accurate, efficient supply plans that align with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and financial targets.
Serve as the SME for your product category, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to junior planners and stakeholders.
Anticipate risks and lead mitigation strategies across materials, production, and Logistics.
Represent Supply Planning in cross-functional forums and supply review meetings.
Coach and support junior planners in best-practice planning processes, systems use, and stakeholder communication.
Actively contribute to team learning through knowledge-sharing sessions, playbook development, and system/data troubleshooting.
Foster a collaborative and solutions-focused team culture built on curiosity, accountability, and inclusion.
Translate demand into feasible supply plans in o9 and SAP, factoring in lead times, inventory targets, and production constraints.
Proactively manage planning master data (e.g., MOQ, lead times, safety stock) to reflect operational realities.
Optimize working capital by maintaining targeted inventory levels and enabling efficient production and purchasing cycles.
Collaborate with supply schedulers and procurement to ensure timely execution of work orders and purchase orders.
Plan for product introductions, engineering changes, and phase-outs in collaboration with Lifecycle Management and Product Planning.
Evaluate and implement ECNs with minimal disruption and clear communication to manufacturing and supply stakeholders.
Balance risk and cost in recommending exception freight, alternate sourcing, or system overrides as needed.
Champion the use of advanced planning systems (e.g., o9, SAP) and analytics to drive accuracy and speed in planning.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in planning accuracy, service levels, and inventory management.
Collaborate with Supply Chain Excellence or Transformation teams to test, scale, and embed new planning capabilities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience: 5+ years in end-to-end supply planning, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
Technical Tools: Strong working knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and APS (e.g., o9). Advanced Excel and data handling skills.
Good to have knowledge of S&OP & continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen)
Deep understanding of supply chain planning concepts (MRP, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Distribution Requirements, safety stock, capacity constraints, etc.).
Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting complex data to drive decisions.
Skilled communicator and collaborator across functions and seniority levels.
Ability to coach, mentor, and elevate peers in a non-supervisory capacity.
Calm and structured under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills.
Proactive, commercially aware, and continuously seeking process improvement.
