Job summary

HyperLight Corporation, a pioneer in thin-film lithium niobate photonics, seeks a Supply Chain Senior Engineer to strengthen planning, procurement, and inventory management across manufacturing and finance operations.

You will back up planning, issue POs, manage inventory accuracy, and collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Engineering to ensure timely material flow and cost-efficient procurement in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, inventory management, or a related operations role.

Responsibilities

• Support and back up production/materials planning; review outputs and communicate schedule impacts.
• Coordinate material availability with Planning to align with production and shipment targets.
• Monitor supplier lead times and escalate potential disruptions; advise on mitigations.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; ensure they are raised accurately, on time, within budgets.
• Track open POs to delivery; follow up on acknowledgements and discrepancies.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for non-contracted items; obtain quotes per policy.
• Maintain accurate inventory records; perform cycle counts and reconcile in ERP.
• Monitor stock against reorder points; flag shortages or excess inventory.
• Ensure materials are received, labeled, and stored; coordinate with warehouse.
• Assist Finance in 3-way match; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Liaise Finance, Procurement, and Operations to resolve invoice holds and variances.
• Maintain documentation for procurement and inventory transactions for close and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement across supply chain planning, procurement, and inventory.
• Uphold ethics: anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and conflict-of-interest policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Lead.
