Job summary

ResMed Asia Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) professional for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will work across ResMed and suppliers to ensure quality products, implement robust process controls, and enhance supplier performance using data analytics and Six Sigma principles. The role requires 5+ years in supplier management, regulatory awareness for medical devices, and hands-on experience with quality tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science required.
• Minimum 5 years' external supplier management experience.
• Experience with high-bay/ASRS warehouses and 3PL logistics.
• Regulatory exposure in medical device industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure knowledge of ResMed's quality system and compliance with GMP/regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Procurement, Product Development, Marketing, and Quality to ensure supplier quality.

Job description

This is a 12-months Fixed Term Contract Role. Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) works across ResMed and our suppliers to continuously improve performance, ensure adequate process controls methods through sound quality assurance principles. These activities are all aimed at protecting and boosting ResMed's ability to meet and exceed its Quality, Delivery and Cost targets. This role works across ResMed and our suppliers to ensure that internal and supplier processes deliver quality products and services to ResMed and to ensure ResMed has a consistent approach with our supply chain at an Engineering level.

Let's talk about Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough knowledge of ResMed's Quality system to work within established policies and procedures, compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements and other business systems.
• Operate autonomously whilst interacting effectively with and seeking input from team members and other areas of the business including, Logistics/Distribution, Procurement, Product Development Team, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure the supplier meets ResMed quality requirements.
• Apply a risk-based approach in improving ResMed processes while maintaining quality compliance.
• Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and trends, escalating emerging quality signals and trends to appropriate leaders and stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Initiate programs to improve supplier performance systematically and reduce cost of poor quality, utilizing digitalization and data analytics
• Ensure timely communication of issues that affect supplier quality and delivery capability to the relevant stakeholders across the organization.
• Educate and support suppliers in their use of various quality prevention tools to ensure defect free products.
• Drive continuous improvement activities at suppliers to include product quality cycle and delivery performance through use of standard metrics and six sigma
• Drive supplier and sub-supplier performance to include identifying and driving supplier process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with sufficient breadth and depth
• Maintain lessons learned from various investigations to assist in development and sharing of best practice.
• Work within a Project Team environment and perform other tasks as requested to assist the business reach and maintain its goals.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing external suppliers
• High-bay or ASRS warehouses and third-party logistics management
• Warehouse housekeeping, especially in pest control interfaces
• Quality risk assessment in warehouse activities
• Problem solving methods & tools as well as quality process knowledge, including statistics (A3, 8D, KT Problem Solving, DMAIC etc.).
• Strong negotiation skills, communication skills, influential leadership & business acumen.
• Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel proficient.
• Oracle business information system
• Required: Degree qualification in Engineering or Science.
• Preferred: Experience in operating within highly regulated industry - preferably medical device industry
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
