Job summary

ABB in Singapore seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design authority for marine and offshore structures, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and in compliance with international standards.

You will perform analyses, develop drawings, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement. This onsite role involves FPSO and E-House projects with global exposure.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience in Marine & Offshore, FPSO, E-House, Oil & Gas, or industrial facility projects.
Proven expertise in offshore and modular steel structures design, including FPSO topsides and subsea.
Advanced proficiency in structural software (SACS, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, ABAQUS) and related FEM tools.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis, design calculations and optimization using industry-standard software.
Develop structural designs, layouts, drawings and technical documentation (GA, detailed, isometric, fabrication drawings).
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structures with mechanical, piping, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Lead technical reviews, procurement support, fabrication follow-up, and schedule management.
Support installation, commissioning, and as-built documentation; manage deviations and changes.
