Job summary

COWI Singapore is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead transportation and infrastructure design, oversee technical delivery, and mentor junior engineers. The role may include project management duties for packages or smaller projects to support the management team.

You will contribute to conceptual and detailed design, liaise with clients, supervise design tasks, and ensure quality within time and budget while maintaining clear communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural engineering or similar field with 7 or more years of qualified experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering technical design packages with a proven ability to also develop technical proposals.
• Experience in working as part of a larger design team on infrastructure projects within Singapore (considered an asset).
• Extensive practice in conceptual and detailed design, whilst ensuring detailed organization, transparent communication, and engaging participation.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills combined with great interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Take part in technical structural design for infrastructure projects such as tunnels/underground structures/foundations/general civil works).
• Oversee selected design task/packages, from initiation to closure, ensuring task outcomes are achieved within the agreed timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Liaising with project team/clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to client requirements
• Partake in construction administration activities along with performing site inspections and other tasks as required.
• Support project team members, provide guidance, and facilitate teamwork and collaboration.
• Define task scope, goals, and deliverables, in collaboration with the client, project team, and stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural engineering
