Job summary

COWI SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Singapore to oversee Transportation and Infrastructure projects, guiding design teams and developing junior engineers.

You will manage technical delivery, maintain quality standards, and sometimes take on project management roles to support the team. You will collaborate across borders and disciplines, apply your structural expertise to tunnels and foundations, and actively contribute to proposals and client communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural engineering or similar field with 7+ years of qualified experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer.
• Experience delivering technical design packages and developing proposals.
• Experience in Singapore infrastructure projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation and infrastructure projects and ensure technical delivery to quality standards.
• Take part in technical structural design for tunnels, foundations and civil works.
• Liaise with project teams and clients to ensure satisfaction and adherence to requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and construction administration activities.
• Define task scope, goals, and deliverables with the client and stakeholders.

We are seeking a highlight experienced Senior Structural Engineer in our Singapore office to oversee Transportation and Infrastructure projects. Supporting the design and engineering teams, you will be responsible for technical delivery and supporting technical development of junior peers, to the required quality standards. In addition, you may on occasion be required to take on project management roles for packages or smaller projects as and when required to support the management team.

Furthermore, on a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Take part in technical structural design for infrastructure projects such as tunnels/underground structures/foundations/general civil works.
• Oversee selected design task/packages, from initiation to closure, ensuring task outcomes are achieved within the agreed timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Liaising with project team/clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to client requirements
• Partake in construction administration activities along with performing site inspections and other tasks as required.
• Support project team members, provide guidance, and facilitate teamwork and collaboration.
• Define task scope, goals, and deliverables, in collaboration with the client, project team, and stakeholders.

On top of that, you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural engineering or similar field with 7 or more years of qualified experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering technical design packages with a proven ability to also develop technical proposals.
• Experience in working as part of a larger design team on infrastructure projects within Singapore (considered an asset).
• Extensive practice in conceptual and detailed design, whilst ensuring detailed organization, transparent communication, and engaging participation.
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills combined with great interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
