Job summary

Aurecon Singapore Building Business is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join a team of specialists who bring ideas to life for a broad portfolio of building projects. You will lead design work, prepare detailed documentation and mentor junior engineers across multidisciplinary markets.

With 8 to 12+ years’ experience in an engineering consultancy, you will apply reinforced concrete, post-tension concrete and steel design, uphold codes and collaborate closely with clients,

Qualifications

• Recognised Civil & Structural Engineering qualification (Bachelor / Master’s degree).
• Minimum 8 to 12+ years of relevant experience in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Proven proficiency and experience in civil / structural engineering design and analysis on building projects in Singapore.
• Solid experience in reinforced concrete, post tension concrete and structural steelwork design. Seismic design experience is advantageous.
• Sound understanding and application of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
• Strong client focus, excellent communication skills, teamwork, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed designs and documentation for the implementation of building projects, lead and delegate tasks within a workgroup.
• Preparation of calculations required for the design of engineering projects.
• Preparation of specifications, proposals, and other tender documentation.
• Use initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise at a competent level.
• Act as a technical expert to mentor and develop other structural engineers within the team, and provide structural design expertise in overseeing all technical aspects of projects.
• Liaison with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, and communicate clearly with colleagues and managers.
