Job summary

Aurecon Singapore is seeking an accomplished mechanical engineering leader to join the buildings business. You will provide authoritative technical leadership for major projects, review design work for codes and standards, and guide complex problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering and PE/CPEng or equivalent.
  • 15+ years’ experience in mechanical building services within a consulting environment.
  • Proven delivery of complex, multidisciplinary buildings projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide authoritative technical leadership and governance for mechanical building services design across major projects.
  • Act as technical reviewer and approver, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and best practices.
  • Lead resolution of complex technical, design and risk-related challenges.
  • Oversee mechanical engineering delivery on high-profile projects, ensuring quality, safety, cost and programme outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and key stakeholders.
  • Support bids, tenders and proposals through technical input, value engineering and risk assessments.
  • Set and maintain technical standards, design guides and best-practice frameworks.
  • Mentor and develop senior engineers and future technical leaders; support succession planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated building solutions.
  • Promote innovation, digital engineering, sustainability and safety-in-design across projects.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re‑imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

  • Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Chartered / Professional Engineer status (PE, CPEng, or equivalent).
  • 15+ years’ experience in mechanical building services within a consulting environment.
  • Proven delivery of complex, multidisciplinary buildings projects.
  • A strong interest in working on innovative, energy efficient and sustainable projects.
  • You should be pro‑active with the ability to work independently or part of a team and possess good communication skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, proven business development and account management skills.
