Job summary

TTW seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Singapore team and deliver innovative structural solutions across varied projects. You will lead design, documentation, and client communications while guiding engineers and drafters to ensure timely, within-budget delivery.

You will apply advanced engineering principles, manage scope and fees, and advance your career through ongoing professional development in a fast-paced environment. TTW offers flexibility and growth in a global team.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering recognised by the Singapore PE Board.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in engineering.
  • Proactive attitude and excellent team spirit.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving/analytical skills.
  • Highly-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven time management and organisational skills.
  • Deep proficiency in standard engineering design software.
  • Knowledge of BIM/production software and drafting processes/standards.
  • Practical MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ethical and appropriate use of proprietary Generative Artificial Intelligence tools.
  • Conversant with Singapore standard quality implementation, regulatory requirements, submission procedures and platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to advance own career including remaining up to date with advancements in discipline related engineering methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Applies a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical, economical and innovative solutions to problems.
  • Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
  • Prepares client reports, presentations and updates.
  • Contributes to the overall management and profitability of projects.
  • Manages compliance to scope and identifies fee variations.
  • Manages engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation including allocation of resources and checking of work.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients and identifies opportunities for new or additional work.
  • Confidently interprets and communicates information of a more complex nature to different stakeholders.
  • Assumes responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable Codes, local authorities’ requirements and policies including WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
  • Coordinates with clients and other consultants on design, construction, and submission aspects of projects.
  • Attends technical / site meetings to resolve design issues and constructability problems.

We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Singapore team. In this role, you'll be involved in delivering innovative and technically challenging structural solutions across a variety of projects.

Additionally, in this role you will:

  • Working towards Professional Engineers Certificate (PE)
  • Working towards Chartership with a Professional Institution (IStructE, ICE or Engineers Australia)
  • Construction engineering or temporary works design
  • Workflow automation and digital design skills (e.g. Python/Rhino/Grasshopper)
  • Effective integration of Artificial intelligence technologies into engineering design and delivery
  • Knowledge of BIM/production software and drafting processes/standards
  • ISO 19650 or Information Management credentials
  • Conversant with Singapore standard quality implementation, regulatory requirements, submission procedures and platforms
