is seeking an experienced architecturally oriented designer to independently develop and be responsible for detail design of architectural outfitting and safety to comply with Class and Technical specifications within the assigned schedule. The role involves delivering project design drawings, preparing layouts, coordinating with other engineering specialties, liaising with Owners and the Classification Society, and evaluating supplier proposals.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ Cadmatic or similar.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project design drawings and documents per project plan; may take project lead role.
• Prepare compartment layouts, manage space, coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for design compliance, review and approval.
• Prepare architectural outfitting, lifesaving equipment sourcing technical specifications.
• Conduct technical evaluation of seller offers.
• Coordinate with suppliers/contractors on drawings and specifications.
• Develop and update weight reports (weight and center of gravity).
• Communicate with production on trouble shooting and site visits as needed.
• Hull outfitting coverage is an advantage.
