Job summary
Dell Global B.V. (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Senior Engineer Service Delivery with a strong track record in data storage migration, especially from legacy systems to modern SAN environments.
The role requires deep knowledge of file and block storage and hands-on experience with high-end Dell storage products. You will lead end-to-end migration projects, craft tailored migration strategies, and mitigate risks in complex storage landscapes within the Singapore Services Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data storage migration with strong file and block storage knowledge.
- Familiarity with storage protocols: NFS, SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data storage migration projects, migrating data from legacy systems to modern storage solutions (High End Storage: Dell VMAX/PMAX/Unity/Isilon).
- Design and implement migration strategies for both file and block storage.
- Manage data migrations within complex SAN environments.
- Analyze existing storage landscapes to identify bottlenecks, risks, and challenges in data migration.
- Identify risks early and develop contingency plans for migrations.
