Job summary

Dell Global B.V. (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Senior Engineer Service Delivery with a strong track record in data storage migration, especially from legacy systems to modern SAN environments.

The role requires deep knowledge of file and block storage and hands-on experience with high-end Dell storage products. You will lead end-to-end migration projects, craft tailored migration strategies, and mitigate risks in complex storage landscapes within the Singapore Services Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data storage migration with strong file and block storage knowledge.
• Familiarity with storage protocols: NFS, SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data storage migration projects, migrating data from legacy systems to modern storage solutions (High End Storage: Dell VMAX/PMAX/Unity/Isilon).
• Design and implement migration strategies for both file and block storage.
• Manage data migrations within complex SAN environments.
• Analyze existing storage landscapes to identify bottlenecks, risks, and challenges in data migration.
• Identify risks early and develop contingency plans for migrations.

You Will

• Lead and execute end-to-end data storage migration projects, ensuring the smooth transition of data from legacy systems to contemporary storage solutions. High End Storage products with Dell Technologies like VMAX, PMAX, Unity and Isilon.
• Demonstrate proficiency in both file and block storage technologies, utilizing your expertise to design and implement migration strategies tailored to unique requirements.
• Apply your deep understanding of SAN architecture to manage and migrate data within complex SAN environments.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of existing storage landscapes, identifying potential bottlenecks, challenges, and risks associated with data migration.
• Proactively identify potential risks and devise contingency plans to address challenges that may arise during data migration.

Essential Requirements

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in data storage migration. Profound understanding of file and block storage technologies. Expertise in managing and migrating data within SAN environments and high‑end storage systems.
