Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of IT infrastructure experience with VMware and storage.
• Hands-on SAN/NAS provisioning, capacity management, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN in shared storage environments.
• Experience with backup platforms: Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas NetBackup.
• Experience with disaster recovery solutions: SRM or Azure Site Recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise storage environments, including provisioning and capacity expansion.
• Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure and resource allocation.
• Configure storage connectivity (iSCSI, Fibre Channel) to hosts.
• Monitor utilization, performance metrics, and health; resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage backup solutions including scheduling, policies, and restores.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and validate data integrity.
• Execute DR testing and failover/failback with SRM or Azure Site Recovery.
• Maintain VMware infrastructure with migrations, snapshots, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with server, network, app, and security teams.
• Document configurations, runbooks, and incident records.
