Job summary

AVATAR MODERN TECHNO SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a storage-focused engineer to manage enterprise storage environments across NetApp ONTAP, Dell PowerMax, and Pure Storage. You will oversee provisioning, data protection, DR readiness, and SAN fabric operations.

The role requires hands-on expertise with SAN switching, capacity planning, and automation scripting (Python/Ansible) to streamline provisioning and reporting. Based in Singapore with enterprise-scale responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Administer NetApp ONTAP clusters, nodes, SVMs and aggregates.
• Manage volume provisioning (NFS/CIFS) and data protection with SnapMirror and Snap Vault.
• Perform storage provisioning and LUN creation on PMAX, SRDF and DR activities.
• Configure and troubleshoot Brocade SAN switches, zoning and fabric monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Administer NetApp ONTAP clusters, nodes, SVMs and aggregates.
• Handle volume provisioning (NFS/CIFS) and data protection using SnapMirror/Vault.
• Perform storage provisioning and LUN creation and mapping/masking on PMAX, SRDF, and DR tasks.
• Configure Brocade SAN switches, zoning, and fabric monitoring for connectivity.
• Monitor capacity and performance with tools like Active IQ, Unisphere, and Pure1.
• Provide L2/L3 support; perform RCA and firmware upgrades per ITIL.
• Collaborate with vendor TAC for hardware replacements and escalations.
• Develop runbooks, DR plans, and SOPs; create automation scripts.

Key Responsibilities

• NetApp Administration: AdministerNetApp ONTAP clusters, nodes, SVMs, and aggregates. Manage volume provisioning (NFS/CIFS) and implement data protection using Snap MirrorandSnap Vault.
• Dell EMC Management: Perform storage provisioning, LUN creation, and mapping/masking on platforms such as PMAX, SRDF & DR activity.
• Pure Storage Operations: Manage Flash Array and Flash Bladeenvironments using GUI, CLI, and the Pure1 portal for predictive analytics and capacity expansions.
• SAN Switching (Brocade): Configure and troubleshoot Brocade SAN switches. Perform fabric monitoring, zoning (creation/modification), and resolve connectivity orport-related failures.
• Capacity & Performance: Monitor storage utilization trends and perform capacity planning to accommodate business growth. Use tools likeActive IQ, Unisphere, and Pure1 for performance tuning.
• Incident & Change Management: Provide L2/L3 support for storage incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and execute firmware upgrades or OS patching following ITIL processes.
• Act as the final tier of technical support (L3) to resolve critical, high-impact storage outages and performance degradations.
• Perform deep Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with vendor TAC (NetApp, Dell, Pure) for hardware replacements and critical bug escalations.
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks, disaster recovery plans, and SOPs.
• Create scripts (Python/Ansible) to automate repetitive provisioning, reporting, and maintenance tasks.
