MRL Consulting Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior DBA / Data Platform Engineer in Singapore. This hybrid role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of critical database environments.

The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and strong troubleshooting skills. Key responsibilities include supporting production systems and collaborating with teams to improve system resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA, database engineer, or data platform engineer in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with backup, restore, disaster recovery, and recovery testing in production environments.
• Ability to work closely with software engineers on schema design, migrations, and query performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operation, stability, performance, and recoverability of SQL Server database environments.
• Support production, QA, UAT, staging, and development database systems.
• Monitor database health including performance, storage, jobs, and replication.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues such as slow queries and execution plan problems.
