Job summary

SPD Singapore is seeking a Principal Speech Therapist to lead clinical practice across a wide range of routine and complex cases. You will assess, plan and implement speech therapy interventions in alignment with SOPs and programme frameworks.

You will supervise and mentor therapists, oversee service quality, and contribute to clinical teaching while collaborating with care teams and external partners to enhance client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Therapy and Full Registration as a Speech Therapist.
• At least 10 years of clinical experience with active supervisory practice in the last 5 years.
• Experience across multiple community settings with adaptability and sector-wide exposure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in local languages will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and advanced clinical practice across routine and complex cases, with development and implementation of interventions.
• Be part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team to work with clients on one-to-one, group, or special settings.
• Monitor progress, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and review needs.
• Provide speech therapy consultation and update caregivers and care team on progress.
• Refer clients to specialists for consultation and further treatment as needed.
• Conduct home/school/workplace visits when necessary.
• Provide speech therapy-related training on relevant platforms.
