Job summary

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Senior/Laboratory Executive to support the Spatial Biology Core. You will operate spatial transcriptomics and proteomics workflows, process samples, run imaging, and perform image analysis, while maintaining safety and quality records.

You will also handle purchasing, billing support, documentation, and training users, with strong multitasking to balance technical duties and administrative tasks in a shared research facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline.
• Good understanding of immunology, molecular biology, cancer biology, medicine or related field.
• Experience with immunohistochemistry, RNAscope or tissue-based assays.
• Familiarity with histology workflows (FFPE block prep, tissue sectioning).
• Experience with spatial biology platforms (Bruker DSP, nCounter, PhenoCycler/PhenoImager, Visium/Xenium) is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency with image analysis software (inForm, Visiopharm, QuPath).
• Good written and verbal communication; MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills.
• Experience training users or supporting a shared research facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate spatial transcriptomics and proteomics services (DSP, nCounter).
• Assist with PhenoCycler and multiplexed IHC and image analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with Facility Manager to optimise workflows for new platforms.
• Prepare, update and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Provide user training and technical support.
• Support quality control, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of workflows.
• Coordinate and renew service contracts for equipment.
