Job summary

The National University of Singapore seeks a Research Assistant/Associate to join the Neuroscience and Behavioural Disorders research group. You will support the lab under the PI, handling molecular biology, cell culture, and animal-related tasks while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance.

Responsibilities include lab maintenance, reagent prep, data logging, and assisting with wet-lab experiments such as PCR, cloning, and immunostaining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related field with minimum 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Prior experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and/or animal handling would be advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal communication, written, and oral skills; detail-oriented and accurate.
• Team player capable of learning new techniques and collaborating in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Lab operations and administrative tasks including purchasing, inventory tracking, databases, protocols and documentation.
• Animal work such as mouse colony maintenance, breeding, genotyping; assays with proper approvals and ethics.
