Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to drive functional and automation testing for enterprise software. You will partner with business users and technical teams to ensure quality, governance and compliant test artifacts throughout the lifecycle.

You will design test cases from requirements, develop automated scripts, and maintain test data and evidence. Strong collaboration and communication are essential as you help evolve automation capabilities and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with strong experience in functional testing.
Experience designing comprehensive test cases from business and system requirements.
Hands-on exposure to automation testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium or Playwright.
Working knowledge of SQL for test data preparation and data validation.
Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Python, JavaScript or C#.
Experience using defect management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience preparing testing documentation, execution evidence and quality reports.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and execute functional, system, integration and regression test cases based on business and technical requirements.
Review business requirements and functional specifications to identify test scenarios and ensure complete test coverage.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts and test execution reports.
Create, prepare and manage test data required for testing activities.
Execute manual testing and accurately document test evidence in accordance with organisational quality standards.
Identify, log, track and verify software defects using defect management tools.
Perform root cause analysis and work closely with developers and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
Validate defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure system stability.
Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks and issues to project stakeholders.
Maintain end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases and test results.
Contribute to reusable regression test suites to support future automation initiatives.
Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for critical business processes.
Develop reusable automation components and scalable automation frameworks.
Execute automated regression test suites and analyse execution results.
Support the migration of automation assets to enterprise or cloud-based automation platforms.
Monitor automation coverage, execution stability and testing metrics.
Maintain automation documentation, reusable libraries and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency.
