Job summary

ASM International N.V. is seeking a Senior Software Support Engineer based in Singapore to investigate, reproduce, and troubleshoot software issues affecting semiconductor processing equipment.

You will handle embedded software for control systems, triage related hardware concerns, and coordinate with field teams to drive resolution. Travel to customer sites for installations and training is required (10–25%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of software engineering experience or Master’s with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read code and diagnose issues and travel readiness (10–25%) domestically and internationally.
• Experience with software development or QA and semiconductor equipment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, reproduce, diagnose root cause, and recommend corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues including embedded software for control systems; triage mechanical, electrical, and software bugs.
• Manage escalation calls with field support engineers and create bug reports for developers.
