Job summary

CODEX SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior AI/ML engineer to design, develop and optimise scalable AI/ML solutions, including LLM-based applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic AI for Home Team use cases on GCC cloud or on-prem.

You will work with software engineers to deploy AI products powered by AI/ML, RAG and agentic AI, handle data prep, deploy models, implement guardrails, and monitor performance while sharing knowledge across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate / tertiary qualification in CS, Data Science, ML or related fields.
• 6+ years software engineering and AI engineering experience, incl. 3+ years production AI deployments.
• Strong Python proficiency for production software.
• Hands-on in deploying AI/ML solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with LangChain/LangGraph and open models (Llama 4, GPT OSS).
• Experience with vector databases and model serving frameworks.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
• Domain knowledge of Homeland Security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory and review related technical articles for decision making.
• Troubleshoot production AI issues and improve system reliability.
• Keep abreast of new AI technologies and improve HTxAI’s engineering capability.
• Share knowledge in a multi-disciplinary team.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and optimise scalable AI/ML solutions, including LLM-based applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI and multimodal AI solutions to address Home Team use cases.


• Handle data pre-processing, engineering and annotation for model training and development.


• Work closely with the software engineers to write production-quality code and deploy AI products powered by AI/ML, RAG and agentic AI for use by Home Team on Cloud Platform (GCC) or on-prem infrastructure.


• Design and implement model evaluation, monitoring and optimise performance of in-house developed AI solutions through pre-training and post-training techniques.


• Optimise model inference performance and resource utilisation.


• Develop and deploy risk mitigation measures such as guardrails to ensure safe and responsible use of AI products, aligning with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.


• Work closely with Product Management team to translate product requirements into machine learning / deep learning model requirements.


• Provide technical advisory and review related technical articles to support key business decision and project decision making.


• Troubleshoot complex production AI issues and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and operational performance.


• Keep abreast of new AI technologies development and continuously improve HTxAI’s AI engineering capability.


• Learn and share knowledge in a multi-disciplinary team both internally and externally.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Postgraduate / Tertiary qualification in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or any relevant areas.


• Min. 6 years of software engineering and AI engineering experience, including at least 3 years developing and deploying production AI applications.


• Strong proficiency in Python with extensive experience developing production-quality software.


• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining production AI/ML solutions.


• Strong experience with open-source AI frameworks such as LangChain / LangGraph, and open models such as Llama 4 and GPT OSS.


• Extensive experience in building scalable AI applications and deploy applications using Docker containers with REST APIs.


• Experience deploying AI application using Kubernetes.


• Experience with vector databases and model serving frameworks.


• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams multi-disciplinary / multi-agencies teams.


• Able to communicate technical concepts and conduct demos in a clear and effective manner to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.


• Knowledge of emerging AI-related technologies and trends.


• Self-motivated, team player, creative with excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.


• Having domain knowledge in Homeland Security sector will be an added advantage.
