Job summary

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to own the design, development and delivery of enterprise-grade applications across the full stack.

You will work with React/TypeScript on the frontend and Java/Python on the backend, building secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure. You will lead architecture discussions, implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps and GitHub, apply DevSecOps practices, and containerize with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise-grade applications.
• Proven experience designing, developing and deploying full stack apps with modern frontend and backend tech.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript; Angular/Vue.js is a plus.
• Backend development with Java and/or Python; REST APIs and microservices experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Azure services in a production environment.
• Experience delivering cloud-native apps using Azure PaaS and serverless services.
• Experience implementing authentication and identity integration with Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React with TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, code quality, and documentation with human review.
• Participate in technical design, architecture reviews and integration planning for secure, scalable solutions.
• Support production operations through troubleshooting, performance tuning and incident resolution.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1.Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React with TypeScript and JavaScript.

2.Build secure, scalable and maintainable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Python, FastAPI or equivalent frameworks, with strong RESTful API and microservices design practices.

3.Develop and integrate cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services including App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Microsoft Entra ID.

4.Design and implement data access patterns using SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimisation, ORM frameworks and secure data handling practices.

5.Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git Hub Enterprise and GitHub Actions to automate build, test, security scanning, deployment and release processes.

6.Apply DevSecOps practices across the software delivery lifecycle, including secrets management, vulnerability management, secure coding, automated testing and compliance checks.

7.Use Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep or Terraform to support repeatable environment provisioning and application deployment.

8.Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including Azure Kubernetes Service where appropriate.

9.Integrate AI capabilities into applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or related Copilot services where there are clear business use cases.

10.Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or equivalent coding assistants to improve engineering productivity, code quality, documentation and solution exploration while applying appropriate human review and security judgement.

11.Participate in technical design, architecture reviews and integration planning to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, scalable and maintainable.

12.Support production operations through troubleshooting, performance optimisation, observability, monitoring, alerting and incident resolution.

13.Collaborate with product owners, business users, platform engineers, security teams and delivery stakeholders in Agile product delivery teams.

14.Document technical designs, engineering decisions, reusable patterns and operational procedures to improve maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience

1.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.

2.Minimum 10 years of hands‑on software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of enterprise‑grade application design, delivery and production operations.

3.Proven experience designing, developing and deploying enterprise‑grade applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.

4.Strong hands‑on experience with React and TypeScript, with working knowledge of Angular or Vue.js as an advantage.

5.Strong backend development experience using Java and/or Python, including frameworks such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, Flask, Django or equivalent, with experience building REST APIs and microservices.

6.At least 3 years of hands‑on experience working with Microsoft Azure services in a production environment.

7.Experience delivering cloud‑native applications using Azure PaaS and serverless services, including App Service, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage and Key Vault.

8.Experience implementing authentication, authorisation and identity integration using Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC and secure access patterns.

9.Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise and/or GitHub Actions.

10.Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or equivalent, including practical use for coding, refactoring, test generation, documentation and technical problem‑solving.

11.Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or equivalent tools.

12.Experience with Docker, containerised application delivery and Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service.

13.Experience applying secure application development practices, including secrets management, security scanning, vulnerability management and secure configuration.

14.Experience working within Agile product delivery teams and collaborating across business, product, engineering, security and operations stakeholders.

15.Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimisation and production support skills.

16.Ability to translate business and product needs into practical technical designs, architecture options and implementation plans.

Preferred Skills

1.Experience integrating AI capabilities using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI or Copilot services.
