Job summary

Standard Chartered Singapore is hiring a lead developer to head a globally distributed team in Singapore, driving the Blade pricing, execution, and trade processing platform for Financial Markets.

You will own technical delivery, shape the stream's roadmap, and collaborate with engineers, analysts, PMs, and stakeholders across locations. Strong leadership, architecture, and full stack capability are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full stack engineering experience with deep frontend or backend expertise.
• Strong software design principles and robust, well-tested code.
• Expert in React, Redux, RX JS, NPM/Yarn, webpack, CSS, HTML.
• Expert in Java and Spring Boot; reactive programming is a plus.
• Able to articulate what was built and why with clear code explanations.
• Built complex real-time event-driven applications with low latency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior developer, potentially leading a squad of several members.
• Unblock progress and solve problems at the team level.
• Own the technical aspect of the team's delivery and code quality.
• Drive the stream's development processes and improve platform delivery.
• Define the team's technical roadmap and align with overall platform roadmap.
• Oversee designs by other developers to ensure alignment with roadmaps.
• Participate in hiring and provide peer coaching.
