Job summary

SINDA in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Social Worker to lead casework, group work, community development and professional training across multiple programmes.

You will supervise staff, develop best practices, and build partnerships with agencies to improve social functioning and well-being in the community. A degree in social work and 6+ years of experience are required; SASW accreditation is an advantage; strong communication and budgeting skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree, Graduate Diploma or Master in Social Work.
• At least 6 years of relevant social work experience.
• Accreditation as a Social Worker by SASW is an added advantage.
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong analytical report-writing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in budget planning and financial management will be an added advantage.
• Able to participate in SINDA-wide events, as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct case and risk assessments for complex, high-risk cases.
• Monitor and review case progress and evaluate interventions for programmes.
• Prepare and maintain social reports and documents per SOPs for complex cases.
• Review reports prepared by social workers to ensure quality and completeness.
• Foster partnerships with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies to deliver care plans.
• Lead delivery of domain-specific interventions.
• Use home visits, telephone interviews and face-to-face meetings for assessment and monitoring.
