Senior Site Engineer – Large-Scale Building Projects

Job summary

BuildBridge Partners Pte Ltd, a reputable main contractor in Singapore, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support delivery of large-scale building projects. You will coordinate site activities, manage technical matters and ensure works meet project specs, programme, quality and safety requirements.

You will liaise with consultants, architects, subcontractors and internal teams, review shop drawings, monitor progress against schedule and help lead junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction or main contractor projects.
• Experience with a Main Contractor in Singapore is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and technical submissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day site and project engineering activities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams on technical and construction matters.
• Review and monitor shop drawings, technical submissions, method statements and construction details.
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies and site constraints in a timely manner.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure completed works meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Assist in coordinating structural, architectural and M&E works where required.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Monitor and follow up on RFI, technical submissions, material submissions and approvals.
• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager on site progress and technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant BCA requirements, approved plans, safety regulations and project specifications.
• Support the Project Manager in managing project documentation, coordination and overall project delivery.
• Lead and guide junior engineers where required.
