Job summary

CAPEFRONT ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a meticulous Commercial Manager to oversee shipbuilding contracts across construction and deployment.

You will lead contract negotiations, manage risk, and coordinate with project managers, legal teams, and vendors to ensure terms are met and projects stay on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of shipbuilding contracts, procurement processes, and related legal frameworks, with at least 10 years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in law, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in a similar contract-management role, preferably shipbuilding/maritime.
• Strong knowledge of shipbuilding contracts, procurement processes, and legal frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve contract-related issues efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with shipbuilding contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage shipbuilding contracts, including construction, procurement, and supply agreements.
• Coordinate with project managers, legal teams, and stakeholders to ensure terms are met and projects stay on time and within budget.
• Discuss with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor and manage contract performance, including risk identification, mitigation.
• Provide guidance on contractual matters to internal teams.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to resolve disputes or claims.
• Maintain records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence.
• Prepare reports on contract status, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
