Job summary

Servomex is seeking a hands-on Senior Service Engineer for Singapore, delivering field service across customer sites and Servomex facility. The role combines on-site commissioning, maintenance and workshop repairs with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and safety.

You will troubleshoot gas analysis systems, calibrate equipment, and support integration while travelling regularly across Singapore and sometimes internationally.

Qualifications

• Strong background in gas analysis systems and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver field service at customer facilities with occasional workshop servicing.
• Carry out FAT, SAT, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repairs on analysers and systems to OEM standards.
• Set up, calibrate and validate equipment, support control system integration.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, process and software issues and determine corrective actions.
• Build trusted relationships with semiconductor customers and provide responsive service.
• Prepare for customer visits, manage tools, spares and test equipment.
• Provide technical support by phone and email to customers in the region.
• Complete workshop repairs with emphasis on quality and turnaround time.
• Document service activities including reports, calibration certificates, NCRs and parts usage.
• Share knowledge and support colleagues through training and coaching.

Senior Service Engineer – Semiconductor Singapore | Field Service & In-house at our Servomex facility The opportunity Servomex, the global expert in gas analysis and sensing solutions, are searching for a hands‑on, customer‑focused Senior Service Engineer to support our customers, with a particular focus on the semiconductor industry across Singapore. This is a varied technical role where you’ll be one of the key faces of Servomex with our customers, delivering safe, high-quality and efficient field service across commissioning, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and technical support. The primary focus will be field service, travelling to semiconductor and other customer sites across Singapore. You’ll also spend time at our Servomex facility, carrying out workshop servicing and repairs when required, giving you a varied mix of field, workshop and customer‑facing activity.

What will you be doing?

• Deliver field service activities as the primary focus of the role at our customer facilities, alongside workshop servicing and repairs as required.
• Carry out FAT, SAT, commissioning, servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on Servomex analysers and systems, ensuring work is completed to OEM standards.
• Set up, calibrate and validate equipment and support control system integration where required.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, process and software issues using a structured and methodical approach, identifying appropriate corrective actions.
• Work directly with our semiconductor customers, building trusted relationships and providing a professional, responsive service.
• Prepare effectively for customer visits by reviewing the scope and requirements and ensuring the necessary tools, test equipment and spares are available.
• Provide responsive technical support by telephone and email to customers across the region.
• Complete workshop repairs efficiently, maintaining a strong focus on quality, turnaround time and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding progress, technical issues, risks and next steps, including formal handover and sign‑off.
• Complete accurate service documentation including reports, as‑found/as‑left data, calibration certificates, NCRs and parts usage.
• Manage spares and tooling, including RMAs, stock and calibrated test equipment.
• Share technical knowledge and practical experience, supporting colleagues and new starters through training, mentoring, coaching and on‑the‑job development.
• Because of the nature of our customers and their operations, you’ll need to be comfortable travelling regularly across Singapore and flexible in your working pattern to respond to customer and business requirements.
• Fully comply with Servomex Health, Safety and Environmental policies, as well as relevant customer‑site safety requirements, permits and procedures.
• Undertake other reasonable duties and responsibilities to support our customers and the wider business.
• Your responsibility in the field: As a Servomex technical representative on customer sites, you’ll be trusted to make appropriate technical decisions within approved procedures and ensure work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.

What are we looking for?

• A strong technical background in gas analysis/gas analysis systems/instrumentation.
• Business English – both spoken and written
• Experience within or exposure to the semiconductor industry would be hugely advantageous.
• Practical, hands‑on engineering experience with strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding capability.
• Confidence working independently at customer sites and within manufacturing environments.
• A genuine customer‑service mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to explain technical issues to customers.
• A safety‑focused and methodical approach to your work.
• The ability and willingness to travel regularly across Singapore, working between customer locations and our Servomex facility.
• Flexibility around your working pattern to support customer requirements, including occasional out‑of‑hours support.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel where required.
• Ideally, you’ll have previous team leadership, supervisory or people management experience, with the ability to support, guide and develop others.
