Job summary

Sofitel and its Ambassadors is seeking a Security Officer to patrol hotel lobbies, guest areas and back-of-house zones, ensuring a safe and secure environment. You will assist in investigations, monitor for unattended items, and coordinate with the police when required.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management with at least 2 years in a similar role, and possesses English fluency plus a security certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Security related certification required.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Patrol lobby, guest room corridors, back of house areas, public areas and surroundings to detect any suspicious personnel. Keep an eye on any unattended luggage or belongings.
• Conduct investigations and keep hotel Management informed regarding accidents such as losses, theft etc.
• Accompany the Duty Manager whilst investigating irregularities in guest rooms and public areas when required.
• Ensure wherever possible that employees are provided with a work place free of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
• Record details of significant incidents and activities that may occur during the shift
• Coordinate investigations with the Police regarding crimes, accidents involving hotel guests and ambassadors
• Ensure Security Checkpoint/Office is manned, clean and tidy at all times.
