Job summary

Imperva Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join the Advanced Security Response Team.

You will act as a technical leader, monitor, investigate, and respond to complex security incidents while driving operational excellence. Collaborate with customers, internal teams, Threat Research, and Product Development to enhance security operations, improve response processes, and strengthen customer confidence in Imperva security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years in Security Operations, Incident Response, SOC Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of web application security, cloud security, and network security fundamentals.
• Hands-on with HTTP/S, TLS, DNS, TCP/IP, REST APIs, JSON, and JavaScript.
• Experience analyzing security incidents, traffic behavior, and attack mitigation techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily Security operations, handling escalations and incidents.
• Take ownership of critical customer escalations and resolve them effectively.
• Analyze web traffic, attack patterns, and anomalous activities across environments.
• Assist with mitigation planning and policy optimization for Cloud WAF and related platforms.
• Participate in customer calls to manage escalations and confidence.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex security incidents with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Product Development to improve platform capabilities and workflows.
• Participate in weekly technical reviews and escalation meetings.
• Mentor and onboard new security engineers through training sessions.
• Conduct workshops and cross-team enablement.
• Audit cases handled by junior engineers and provide feedback.
• Maintain training materials and runbooks.
• Identify gaps and drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency.
• Lead projects to improve productivity and incident response.
• Contribute to automation frameworks and tooling enhancements.
• Update internal knowledge base with technical and operational info.
• Build strong relationships with strategic customers in the region.
• Assist Services and Support during major incidents.
