Job summary

AWS Singapore Private Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join the Security Search and Observability team. You will act as a field-facing engineer for APJ, running threat modelling, vulnerability assessments with customers, and guiding remediation to improve detection and security across cloud and AI workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in identifying security issues and forming mitigation plans.
• Experience with threat modeling or risk identification techniques is preferred.
• Experience delivering security in service-oriented architectures/microservices and web services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field-facing security engineer for APJ, leading threat modelling and vulnerability assessments with customers.
• Collaborate with third-party security providers to convert findings into high-fidelity detections.
• Shape detection coverage and influence service roadmaps using field and partner insights.
• Stay current with evolving cloud security threats including agentic AI/ML applications.
• Drive detection engineering best practices, including false-positive reduction and coverage measurement.
• Support global customers and distributed stakeholders with flexible working hours.
