Job Summary:

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, achieving sales targets, and providing excellent customer service for steel products and related services. The role requires regular visits to customers, understanding their requirements, preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Business Development
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within Singapore & overseas.
  • Generate sales leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and market research.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms within company guidelines.
• Customer Relationship Management
  • Maintain excellent relationships with existing customers.
  • Understand customers' requirements and recommend suitable steel products.
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and after-sales service promptly.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitors' activities, pricing, and market trends.
  • Gather information on new projects and business opportunities.
  • Provide regular market feedback to management.
• Sales Administration
  • Prepare sales reports and sales forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate customer records.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and finance departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Follow up on deliveries and customer payments.
• Project Coordination
  • Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with production or suppliers to meet project deadlines.
  • Assist customers in resolving technical or delivery issues.
• Collection of Payment
  • Monitor customers' outstanding accounts.
  • Follow up on overdue payments.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department on collection matters.
• Compliance
  • Comply with company policies and safety requirements when visiting customer sites.
  • Ensure ethical business practices at all times.

Requirements:

Education: GCE 'O' or Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related disciplines. Candidates with relevant experience may be considered regardless of academic qualifications.

Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of outdoor sales experience. Experience in the steel, metal, construction materials, or engineering industry is preferred.
