NCS in Singapore is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with deep RHEL expertise to design, deploy, and maintain robust Linux infrastructure for enterprise operations. You will mentor junior engineers and drive automation, security hardening, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include scripting in Bash/Python, managing Docker/Kubernetes environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and seamless integration with applications and databases.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration in production.
• Strong Linux administrative skills including kernel tuning, package management, and optimization.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and system management.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OpenStack.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM or VMware.
• Experience with monitoring/logging solutions such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Knowledge of enterprise security practices including firewall management and SELinux.

Aufgaben

• Design, deploy, and manage RHEL-based infrastructure solutions meeting requirements and best practices.
• Perform system administration tasks including user management, access control, patch management, and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, document root causes, and implement preventative solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Bash/Python to improve efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability and optimize accordingly.
• Collaborate with application teams, DBAs, and network engineers for seamless integration.
• Implement and maintain configuration management across environments.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and support staff.
• Document architectures, configurations, procedures, and runbooks.
• Stay current with RHEL updates and emerging technologies.
