Job summary

United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) is seeking a specialist to drive leading-edge RFSOI device development and optimization. You will design pcell structures, create test structures, and manage tape-outs while performing TCAD simulations to maximize performance and reliability.

The role requires deep semiconductor device physics knowledge, hands-on TCAD experience, and proficiency with industry EDA tools. Strong communication and a proactive, data-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge in semiconductor device physics and device tuning techniques.
• Hands-on TCAD simulation and calibration experience.
• Experience with industrial EDA environments for layout, DRC/LVS checks.
• Experience with advanced RF SOI CMOS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive leading-edge process/device development and optimization of RFSOI devices to meet scaling, performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets.
• Conduct device pcell design, test structure creation and tape-out.
• Perform extensive TCAD simulations to optimize device performance and reliability.
• Characterize and analyze devices using DC-IV bench tests.
• Collaborate with modeling & PDK teams for design enablement and model validation.
