Job summary

A-STAR Testing & Inspection (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior RTO to lead supervision across major building, tunnel, drainage and steel works in Singapore. 10+ years of RTO experience and 8+ years in supervising complex projects are required.

A Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Diploma with BCSS and StS certifications, plus JAC accreditation, are essential. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, plus meticulous site records, are needed to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant RTO experience.
• At least 8 years supervising complex construction works.
• Diploma in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical from a polytechnic.
• Accredited with JAC of IES and ACE Singapore.
• BCSS certificate; Structural Steel Supervisor (StS) certification.
• Experience supervising large-span structural steel and precast construction.
• Knowledge of codes, site supervision, QC, admin and progress reporting.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication.
• Proactive in resolving site issues and good teamwork.

Job description

Key Requirements:

• a. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least 8 years shall be in supervision ofworks similar in complexity, in particular major construction works inbuildings, tunnels, drainage, structuralsteel works and foundation, flexible and rigidpavements, including works suchas installation of monitoring instruments and collation of monitoring data.
• b. Possess a Diploma in the Civil / Structural / Geotechnicaldiscipline from a Polytechnic or equivalent,
• c. Be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee ofthe Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• d. Possess a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors’ Safety(BCSS) Course. Possess a certificate of Structural Steel Supervisor (StS) under Singapore Structural Steel Society.
• e. Experience in supervising large span structural steel and precast construction.
• f. Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• g. Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• h. Competent in keeping and maintaining proper and updated site records on the progress of works.
• i. Pro-active in resolving and managing site issues with good team spirit
