Job summary

Meinhardt Group in Singapore seeks a Senior Resident Technical Officer/Engineer to be overall in charge of a team for daily C&S inspections, and to manage approval forms for inspection and overtime works. You will coordinate multiple contractors and ensure timely issue of drawings and permits, with safety at the forefront.

The role requires 15+ years post-graduate experience, PE registration preferred, and the ability to start by Mar 2027 at Novena.

Qualifications

• Recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering eligible for PE registration in Singapore.
• SRE must have at least 15 years' post-graduate experience supervising building projects.
• Fully conversant with Building Contract Act and able to administer contracts and maintain site records.

Responsibilities

• Be overall in charge, manage and control a team of resident technical offices or RTO in daily C&S inspections and approvals.

• Agree to detailed work-time programmes and represent on site plans.

• Check line/level, layout, structural slab, beam, column sizes and reinforcement per design.

Job Requirements

• Recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore. Registered PEs will be preferred.
• SRE must have at least 15 years' post-graduate experience in supervising building projects. Applicants with both design and supervision experience as Resident Engineer will be favourably considered.
• Fully conversant with Building contract Act and Regulations. Able to administer contracts professionally, maintain site records and contract documents systematically to meet reporting requirements under Building Control Act.
• Extensive experience in the supervision of deep basement construction, preferably with top-down construction, bored pile systems, secant bored pile wall, diaphragm wall, precast concrete and structural steel construction.
• Experience with projects located adjacent to existing MRT structures or sensitive structures such as underground water pipe, canals, etc will be advantageous.
• Able to start work by Mar 2027
