PUB, The National Water Agency, is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Catchment & Waterways Department to oversee reservoir operations, maintenance, and incident response. The role focuses on coordinating transfers, reservoir scouring, water quality sampling, and midge mitigation in line with SOPs.

Applicants should hold a Civil/Environmental engineering degree or equivalent, demonstrate calm under pressure, and possess strong communication and contract management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Environmental engineering or equivalent experience in reservoir operations and maintenance work.
• Independent, able to handle unpredictable situations and work under pressure, and competent in executing emergency response plans and SOPs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and possess a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and coordinate all inter-reservoir transfer and reservoir scouring operations in accordance with SOP.
• Oversee the maintenance of reservoirs, including aquatic plants and flotsam removal.
• Monitor reservoir water quality, collect water samples, and take appropriate mitigating measures in accordance with SOP.
• Manage midge issues and take appropriate mitigating measures in accordance with SOP.
• Oversee attendance to public feedback on reservoir related issues.
• Plan, oversee and review staff deployment.
• Plan and review response plans and SOPs for emergency incidences.
• Contract management and administration including calling, evaluation and award of tenders/quotations.
